Fruity and crisp

The nose is frank and refreshing, opening with notes of bright citrus fruit and flint, evoking the minerality of stony soil after rain.

On aeration, delicate floral touches and hints of citrus zest enrich the bouquet.

The attack is lively and chiselled, carried by a fine freshness and precise balance.

On the palate, the long finish reveals a frank minerality, sublimated by vegetal nuances of fresh asparagus and a fine sapid tension.

The elegant, lingering finish prolongs this sensation of purity and energy.

Domain and appellation

DOMAINE RENAUD

Pouilly-Fumé owes its fame to the smoky gunflint aromas that Sauvignon Blanc develops on siliceous limestone soils.

This grape variety first appeared in the Loire Valley at the end of the 19th century, after the vineyards were devastated by phylloxera.

Previously, the vineyards were almost entirely planted with Chasselas.
