Fruity and crisp

The nose has fresh aromas of citrus zest, mineral notes and opens up to woody aromas with a hint of aniseed.

 

The attack is lively, bringing both roundness and freshness, with a frank, acidic character underpinned by a fine minerality.

 

The finish is clean and round, with woody notes, particularly acacia.

 

Good persistence, reflecting the balance and character of this wine.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

The undisputed king of the Mâconnais, the Pouilly-Fuissé vineyards stretch across the clay-limestone slopes of the Jurassic era that border the Saône.

 

It is surmounted by the two rocky spurs of Solutré and Vergisson, which were formed in the Tertiary era.

    Winemaking & Ageing: Pressing of the grapes to extract the must, then, for 25% of the harvest, alcoholic and malolactic fermentation takes place in barrels, followed by 12 months of ageing in oak barrels.

     

    The remainder is fermented at a controlled low temperature in stainless steel tanks.
