Powerful bouquet

Garnet colour with brick hues. Bouquet of black fruits au gratin, garrigue spices, laurel sauce, cherries in chocolate liqueur, slightly toasted menthol notes. Good balance, full-bodied, fleshy, small envelope. Bouquet character, typical, ripe tannins quite melted. Good finish, quite persistent and vinous.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • Le Clos du Lucquier

    In 2001, Nicole and Claude Panis took over the family property in order to produce their own wine under the name of Clos du Lucquier, referring to a very beautiful lucquier tree present on the plot. The 2004 vintage is the first one vinified by the family. In 2017, the estate was awarded the HVE3 label.
