Well-rounded
A ruby colour with brick-red highlights, clear and brilliant.
An aromatic and expressive nose, with notes of pine, resin and forest floor.
On the palate, it is supple and round, supported by ripe, well-integrated tannins. The cherry compote lends a lovely richness, leading to a balanced finish of medium length, enhanced by a delicate hint of salted butter caramel.
A supple and indulgent red, with lovely signs of development.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

The Gevrey-Chambertin appellation, the queen of the Côte de Nuits, produces powerful, deep and intensely structured red wines.
Made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes, this vintage now shows magnificent promise.
Whilst in its youth it displays vibrant bursts of black fruit and spice, its true magic lies in the passage of time.
