Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and crisp
The nose is frank and expressive, dominated by aromas of exotic fruits and white flowers, then gradually opens up to notes of citrus fruits.
The attack is lively, carried by a beautiful tension and a pleasant freshness.
The palate stretches out with a frank finish, supported by a beautiful sapidity and a fine bitterness that structures the whole.
The expression remains frank and distinctive, with good persistence that prolongs the aromatic freshness.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

En 1984, après des assemblages réussis avec les cépages Colombard et Ugni blanc, la première cuvée Colombelle voit fièrement le jour. Face à la crise de l’armagnac, Colombelle s’impose comme la réponse en véritables pionniers
The story of Colombelle began across the Atlantic, when André Dubosc, founder of Plaimont, discovered a wine made from French Colombard grapes in California during a tasting.
This experience was a real revelation: he realised the aromatic and qualitative potential of Colombard, a grape variety that had previously been used mainly for distilling Armagnac.
This discovery marked the beginning of the Colombelle adventure and the promotion of this grape variety in fresh and expressive white wines.
