Our oenologists' opinion
Powerful bouquet
The nose is open, frank and distinctive, marked by candied pepper, fresh spices and herbs, with a hint of liquorice.
The attack is supple, well-balanced but with a little body.
The palate develops a fairly refined character with candied pepper, fresh red fruit and citrus notes, enhanced by a touch of ginger.
The finish is marked by red fruit, spices and a slight savouriness.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.
Domain and appellation
-
The appellation area lies on the left bank of the Rhône River, between Orange and Avignon. Three main types of terroir contribute to the character of this wine:
• the Mont-Redon plateau, covered with large rounded pebbles typical of the region
• Urgonian limestone soils, made up of white, angular stones
• the safres, compact sandy soils specific to the Mont-Redon areaOnly the finest expression of each terroir is selected for the final blend, ensuring the wine’s complexity, balance and the consistent Mont-Redon style.
