Appearing in the 17th century, the notion of "Cru Bourgeois" was given to the productions of the Bordeaux bourgeois of the time who owned vines in the Médoc.

Domain and appellation

CHÂTEAU HAUT MARBUZET

Located in the heart of the Saint-Estèphe appellation, Château Haut-Marbuzet, classified as a Cru Bourgeois Supérieur, has belonged to Hervé Duboscq since 1952. In 1962, his son Henri joined him to help him achieve the "Gloire Du Haut-Marbuzet". Thus was born the most beautiful father/son association. The Duboscq family also owns Châteaux Chambert-Marbuzet, Tour De Marbuzet and Mac Carthy, all three of which are classified as Crus Bourgeois de Saint-Estèphe.
