Our oenologists' opinion

Powerful wine with potential

The nose is open, frank and complex, marked by candied cherry, plum and blackberry coulis, with a hint of caramel.

The attack is supple and satiny, carried by beautiful tension and finesse.

The woody notes, fine and elegant, begin to blend harmoniously.

The tannins, long and rich, structure the palate with precision.

The finish is frank and satiny, prolonged by notes of mocha.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Do you know ?

Pupils from the 6th grade came to plant 1800 shrubs on the vineyard in March 2021 and 2022. The aim is to encourage biodiversity on the estate.

Located between Château Figeac and Cheval Blanc, this Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé benefits from an exceptional terroir.  Although Féret was already praising it in 1856, the origins of this wine estate go back to antiquity.

Terroir: The 10-hectare estate is planted on clay-limestone soil with Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

Vinification: The wine is aged for 12 months in barrels (80% new).
