Powerful bouquet

The nose is open, complex and elegant, with notes of blackberry coulis, dark chocolate and cinnamon, and a hint of wood fire.

 

Supple, velvety attack, satiny tannins. Well-balanced.

 

Character with toasted wood and red fruit gratin, small envelope.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

  • CHÂTEAU CHASSE SPLEEN

    The practice of allocating certain vineyard parcels to the grand vin or the second wine involves tasting the grapes. Indeed, the juice of a grape can vary from year to year, even though the soil remains the same.

     

    The terroir of Chasse-Spleen consists of two types of soils: gravel over an argilo-calcareous subsoil and clay over limestone.

     

    The amount of rainfall and sunshine in a given year will impart different characteristics to the berries grown on these various terrains.
