Our oenologists' opinion
Well-rounded
The nose is open and woody, with notes of preserved lemon, vanilla, curry and white pepper, with a hint of nutmeg.
The attack is full and delicious, with flavours of vanilla, apricot and acacia honey, offering a little finesse, fatness and volume.
The finish is full-bodied and well-balanced, with a hint of sapidity and a long finish of toasted bread.
A wine for wood lovers.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Au Pied du Mont Chauve - Famille Picard
"From the Earth to the Bottle, my aim is to produce highly precise, parcel-based wines while working to preserve our environment and our raw material: the vine". Francine Picard. The Picard family owns 140 hectares of vines spread over 4 estates in the Côte Chalonnaise and Côte de Beaune, all of which are managed by Francine Picard. She is totally committed to viticulture that is intelligent, thoughtful, honest, healthy and forward-looking, inspired by the great agronomists of the past and implemented by a team of committed men and women. There's no point in producing if we don't think about the imprint our actions will leave on our descendants.
