CHÂTEAU BRANE-CANTENAC
Château Brane-Cantenac, located in the Margaux appellation, is classified as a Second Grand Cru of 1855. This estate covers 75 hectares of vineyards, primarily spread over the "croupe de Brane", a plateau of deep Quaternary gravel.
The terroir of Château Brane-Cantenac consists of deep gravel soils, with layers of gravel and sand reaching up to 10 meters thick.
Since 1992, the estate has been managed by Henri Lurton, heir to the Lurton family that has owned the château since 1925. Henri Lurton, a trained oenologist, is committed to maintaining the tradition of quality and innovation. The second wine of Château Brane-Cantenac is "Baron de Brane". This wine is made with the same attention and care as the grand vin, but it comes from younger parcels and grape varieties selected for their smoothness and accessibility.
