Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

The nose opens with frankness and freshness, blending juicy white fruits, crisp peach, ripe pineapple and a delicious hint of light caramel.

On the palate, the attack is supple and well-balanced, with a character that faithfully extends the nose, between fruity indulgence, subtle tension and controlled freshness.

The finish is round, marked by notes of peach syrup and a hint of honey, offering a beautiful, smooth and delicate persistence.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

  • DOMAINES BARONS ROTHSCHILD LAFITE

The 2024 vintage began with a significant water deficit, resulting in slow initial growth.

Fortunately, life-saving rainfall in late April revived the vines. Phenological stages remained uneven, even within the same plots. May brought light rainfall, followed by a warm June, encouraging strong growth.

Unlike 2023, summer was less hot and dry — beneficial for vine development and steady grape ripening.

White and rosé harvests began in late August, with reds following from mid-September. Maturity took time, but once achieved, grape quality was excellent.
