Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and crisp

Pale colour with green hues. Straightforward, fresh nose of white flowers, citrus zest, hints of pomelo, a hint of mineral iodine. Good balance on a straightforward wine with a fairly light, pearly body and finesse. Quite a signature character. Good sapid length with a hint of minerality.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

  • CHÂTEAU LA NOË

On the site of a 17th century noble house, totally destroyed during the Revolution, the construction of the Noë complex took place in the first half of the 19th century. The Orangery and the outbuildings, probably built around 1823 - 1826, are arranged around a square courtyard and built according to the Tuscan model with brick frames. The Italianate-style Château was built between 1835 and 1837 by Louis-Joseph Chaigneau (a pupil of Lemot), influenced by the great Nantes architects of the Empire period: Crucy and Ceineray.
