Caractéristiques
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Le saviez-vous ?
The Rosé Champagne can be manufactured by bleeding but also by blending red and white wine. The Appellation Champenoise is the only one that has the right to use this process of blending.

CHAMPAGNE LOUIS ROEDERER
Founded in 1776, the house was entrusted into the hands of Louis Roederer in 1833 to expand and impose on the best terroirs of Champagne. While other houses bought their crope from other wine growers, the Roederer house embarked on a journey for the most prestigious crus.
- Terroir: The house possesses vineyards on the three lost important wine growing regions in Champagne: the Vallée de la Marne, the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs. For its Rosé Champagne, Louis Roederer chose to invest in Cumières in the Marne as its clay-limestone soil and its fully southern exposure allows the grapes to reach a high phenolic maturity.
- Viticulture: Extending over 240 hectares; the vineyards are separated into 410 plots. Like the Clos de Bourgogne, the vines are pampered and worked in a plot-by-plot way in order to respect the diversity of the terroirs.
- Vinification: The cuvée Rosé Vintage is aged for an average of 4 years on lees and rests for at least 6 months after degorgment.
