Powerful bouquet

Purple colour with ruby highlights. The nose is open, typical, spicy with aromas of grey pepper, rosemary and thyme, with notes of stewed black fruit. Supple attack, good balance on a full-bodied wine, character that extends the nose, frank, good persistence. Spicy pepper finish.

Features

Body The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Domain and appellation

Maison LORGERIL

This beautiful estate of 70 hectares, 33 of which are planted with vines, is the only property in the region to extend across the AOP Faugères, AOP Saint-Chinian and AOP Languedoc regions. It completes the diversity of the terroirs worked by Maison Lorgeril. Completely renovated by the previous owner, the estate is a haven of peace in the foothills of the nearby Causse. Nicolas and Miren de Lorgeril took over this picturesque site, a former windmill, in 2007, completely unspoilt and isolated, between garrigues, olive trees (0.5 ha), vines and mountains. Since then, they have worked hard to take the estate to the top.

Une excellente surprise! Goûté à l'occasion d'une promo très ponctuelle. Et repris depuis. Un vrai vin, loin des idées reçues qui persistent sur cette région. Mérite vraiment d'être gouté.
