Powerful bouquet

The intense, bewitching nose opens with sweet spices, roasted mocha and full-bodied dark chocolate.

The attack is supple and well-balanced, marked by smooth, silky tannins.

The palate is an extension of the nose, with a fluid, easy texture that reveals a delicious, savoury suppleness.

Persistence is moderate but harmonious, giving way to a round, caressing finish with hints of chocolate.

Features

Body The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

2021, un millésime de patience et d’exigence !

Un début d’hiver marqué par une alternance de périodes fraîches et douces.

En avril, un épisode de gel historique ampute quantitativement la récolte de ce vin haut-médoc. Un printemps très pluvieux, suivi d’une saison estivale lente à s’installer et globalement assez fraîche.

Fin septembre, un épisode pluvieux nous conduit à ramasser les Merlot, puis le grand soleil qui suit permet d’atteindre une maturité optimale sur les Cabernet-Sauvignon.
