Our oenologists' opinion
White colour with silver/blue highlights. Open, greedy nose, with notes of mango, exotic fruits and white flowers, a hint of iodine and minerality. Round, greedy attack, with iodine, rhubarb, chilli and mango notes. Warm finish.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Since 1996, the Trois Rivières rum has had the label AOC (Appellation Contrôlée Martinique).
Domain and appellation
Acquired by BBS (Bellonie Bourdillon and Successors) in 1994 and by the Chevrillon group in 2002, the distillery Trois Rivières operates 800 hectares of land south of La Martinique, in the municipalities of Sainte Luce and Rivière Pilote.
- Distillery: Formerly distilled at Trois-Rivières distillery in Sainte-Luce, Trois Rivières rum is now produced at the La Mauny distillery in Riviere-Pilote.
- Manufacturing: The agricultural traditional rum is made from 100% sugar cane juice. Those sugar canes are aged with "their feet in the water", on the beach of Anse Trabaud.
