Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

Colourless. Nice nose of fresh pineapple, ripe banana, fresh notes of candied ginger. Nice balance, full, frank, straightforward, nice finesse, sweet but well melted in alcohol. Nice straight extension, frank and fresh with yellow fruits, pineapple and fresh pear.

  • Keeping level Ready to drink

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • Kiyomi

Kiyomi means "Pure Beauty" in Japanese. This rum has been carefully crafted in Nago City, Okinawa Island by the Helios Distillery.
Helios is the oldest distillery in Japan, producing rum since 1961, at the request of the United States military at that time in Okinawa. This rum is a distillate of local sugar cane molasses, in a Copper Pot Still. The sugar cane benefits from a soil rich in minerals and a tropical climate, which gives this rum minerality and salinity. A white rum has an unparalleled aromatic explosion.

    ROBE: Clear, translucent.
NEZ: Very exotic characteristics with hints of pineapple and a hint of smoke.
BOUCHE: Round and powerful with a touch of sweetness. FINAL: Slightly peppery.
