Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

This eau de vie has fragrances recalling stones and leaves of the cherries. In mouth, it is well-balanced with a strong taste of cherries and a touch of fresh almonds. The length is frank.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Eugène Massenez distilled wild raspberry for the first time in 1913.

Domain and appellation

  • Distillerie Massenez

The story of the Distillerie Massenez begins in 1870 when Jean-Baptiste Massenez worked as a vintage boiler in Urbeis. Jean-Baptiste Massenez opened the door of this savoir-faire at his offspring. Thus his son Eugène Massenez became a recognized master distiller.
