Powerful bouquet

Pale yellow colour with hints of old gold.

 

The nose opens with aromas of light tobacco, caramel and a hint of smoke, mixed with notes of young leather and menthol.

 

The attack is round and greedy, marked by a sweetness and hints of fresh wood.

 

Smoky nuances emerge, while the alcohol subtly dominates.

 

The finish is spicy, with a marked warmth dominated by alcohol and hints of chilli.

 

It is distinguished by its iodine and peaty tension, offering good length.

Caractéristiques

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

  • WHITE OAK DISTILLERY

    Distillery: The White Oak distillery is owned by Eigashima, one of Japan's oldest sake producers. It is located in Akashi, near Kobe on the island of Honshu.

     

    Production: Aged for 3 years in bourbon casks.
