Powerful bouquet
The nose is full of finesse, characterised by notes of peat, grain, fresh bread and honey, with a delicious hint of pastry.
The attack is round and full-bodied, with a distinct character of cereal and peat.
The palate offers a hint of minerality and savouriness, supported by lovely roundness and richness.
The finish is of medium length, with a full-bodied finish marked by notes of cocoa.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

In 2017, the Torabhaig distillery opened on the Isle of Skye, an iconic location in the world of Scotch whisky.
Once a sanctuary for the Lords of the Isles, this place steeped in history is ideal for reviving the production of a high-quality peated single malt. Torabhaig began distilling in 2017 and is one of only two single malt distilleries on the island.
Torabhaig heralds a new era with the launch of its first permanent expression. Taigh, meaning ‘home’ in Gaelic, embodies the soul of the place: a whisky that brings together the spirit of the distillery, the character of the Scottish landscape and the passion of the men and women who work there.
Taigh is a single malt Scotch whisky crafted in keeping with the distillery’s style: “Smoke with Taste”. It offers an elegant and balanced expression of peat, where the smoothness and character of bourbon casks blend with the richness and roundness of Madeira casks.
