Powerful bouquet

Caramel colour with a dark mahogany sheen, clear and brilliant. Open nose with notes of candied quince, leather, smoke, beechwood and ash, a hint of spice and flint. Round, greedy attack, with notes of caramel and dried yellow fruit, powerful, full-bodied, ample and elegant. Powerful, mineral and full-bodied finish.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

TOMINTOUL

Tomintoul Seiridh was founded in 1964 in the Speyside region, in the village of Tomintoul (the highest in Scotland). Tomintoul Seiridh is a magnificently complex single malt, strongly influenced by the rich Christmas cake and spice flavours of the Oloroso sherry casks hand-selected by master distiller Robert Fleming. Rich aromas reminiscent of white grapes, butterscotch and caramelised pecans. The palate is sweet and gourmand, with notes of dried figs, Christmas cake and hints of cedar. The finish is long and warm, with hints of nuts, chocolate, liquorice and wood.
