Powerful bouquet

Deep orange colour with bright orange highlights. Open nose with notes of nutmeg, lemon zest, verbena and gentian, a hint of cola. Spicy attack, on chilli and nutmeg, very sweet. Nice bitterness. Finishes with intense notes of nutmeg, cinnamon stick and orange concentrate, hint of cayenne pepper. Nice sapid bitterness.

Caractéristiques

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Le domaine et l'appellation

  • Angostura

    Trinidad and Tobago are two famous islands in more ways than one. Not only do they host the largest carnival in the Caribbean, they are also the home of Angostura, a company known worldwide for its Aromatic Bitters. The only distillery in the country since the closure of Caroni in 2003, Angostura also produces some of the most awarded rums in the world. With its complete range exported to the four corners of the globe, the brand is the pride of an entire country.
