Our oenologists' opinion

Well-rounded

Its deep amber color announces a nose characterized by smoky and peaty notes. The palate is full, pure, fleshy, masculine and spicy with a mellow finish. Success.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Do you know ?

As wines, whisky can be elaborated with a broad range of different ingredients. We talk about “single malt” when it is fully made of barley, and “blend” when comprised of both grains and malts.

Domain and appellation

  • Mc Clelland's

Established in Glasgow in 1818 as a blending and export company, McClelland’s transports you through a unique range of whiskys that speaks for Scotland’s different regions. Not as noticeable as it is for wines, Scotland’s whiskys are also marked by a sense of terroir.

    • Elaboration: Made entirely b with Highland malt, this whiskey expresses the best aromas of its terroir, with pronounced and fruity notes of pine forest. It is round in the mouth.
