Tito Cordero, "master blender"of DUSA since 1988 and creator of the famous Diplomatico, was named in 2011 "World's Rum Blender of the Year at Golden Rum Barrel Awards".

Domain and appellation

Distilerias United S.A.
Bought in the 2000s by a group of local investors, the DUSA distillery (United Distilerias SA) is located at the foot of the Andes. In 2004 they marketed the famous Diplomatico Reserva.
- Distillery: The distillery of over 100 years, has kept a certain craftsmanship. With a large stock of aged rums, it develops beautiful complex blends.
- Manufacturing: Made with 80% sugar cane honey and 20% molasses, this rum is distilled in Pot Still Scotch (cane honey) and column (molasses). It is then aged 12 years in former bourbon casks.
