Powerful bouquet

Old copper colour with golden highlights, nice open and quite powerful nose of candied yellow fruits, caramel, hint of cooked prunes and quince. Good balance, sweetness, full-bodied, nerve, all in the power.


  • Keeping level Ready to drink


Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • Delord

    Prosper Delord founded the house of Delord in 1893. Today, Jérôme and Sylvain, his great grandsons, perpetuate the family tradition under the protective eye of their father, Jacques. Our 45-hectare vineyard, dedicated exclusively to the production of Armagnac, is composed of the four traditional grape varieties: Ugni-blanc, Colombard, Baco and Folle-blanche. It is located in the commune of Lannepax, in Bas-Armagnac, in the south-west of France. Our wines are distilled in stills equipped with "spider-legged" trays with continuous heating, typical of Armagnac, ideal for making old Armagnacs. Our cellars have more than 1000 barrels and a dozen French oak tuns. The colour and complexity of our Armagnacs are obtained by long ageing in the woods. The oldest vintages are kept in barrels in a room called Paradise, away from the light.
