The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine. Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure. Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time. Do you know ? The Léonie growth is a tribute to the one who founded this prestigious Ludes maison back in 1868. Canard Duchêne is one of the few Champagne maisons to be tied to its Montagne de Reims terroir. Domain and appellation Canard Duchêne Marry the know-how of the winegrower Léonie Duchêne to the talent of the cooper Victor Canard to obtain a prestigious Champagne maison signed by the Russian coat of arms, the crowned double-headed eagle. Viticulture: Sixty growths are selected by the maison in order to make the perfect blend of Pinot and Chardonnay.
