Our oenologists' opinion

The nose is frank and floral, evoking aromas of fresh hazelnuts and almonds, with a hint of citrus in the background, like a bouquet of refined perfumes.

The attack is supple, with gentle balance, opening out into a long, clean finish marked by the character of dried fruit.

The dosage is present, but perfectly balanced, evoking a gentle, elegant harmony.

A lovely tension of freshness runs through the whole, and the creamy bubbles provide a silky texture on the palate.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

  • As Madame Clicquot said 200 years ago: “Our black grapes give the finest white wines,” a statement that remains true to this day.

Appreciated for its versatility, Pinot Noir expresses itself differently depending on its growing conditions and year of harvest.

A fine blend of Veuve Clicquot’s historic Crus, La Grande Dame embodies the Maison’s winemaking prowess, with immense aging potential.
