Our oenologists' opinion
Garnet colour with hints of violet, nice frank and open nose of violet, blackcurrant, slight hint of mocha, liquorice, hint of pepper, nice balance on a full-bodied wine, warm hint, nice frank character, straight and signed.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.
Do you know ?
The entire Cub Nicolas range is made from grapes grown on farms with High Environmental Value certification. This certification, from the Grenelle de l'Environnement, is awarded to winegrowers and farmers who have achieved the level of environmental certification that guarantees that the agricultural practices used on all farms preserve the natural ecosystem and reduce pressure on the environment to a minimum.
Domain and appellation
The Fronton vineyard, ambassador of the city of Toulouse, is located one hour north of Toulouse between the Tarn and Garonne rivers. It is on the ancient terraces of the Tarn so the grapes flourish in an exceptionally sunny climate.
