Our oenologists' opinion

Dense foam, cream color, good hold. Dress in aged gold color, golden reflection. Frank nose, on honey, dried fruits. Hint of spices, cloves. Full attack, sweetness, fullness. Good balance. Frank extension on vanilla notes, peppery character. Frank finish, good persistence.

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Do you know ?

Closed during the Revolution, the Abbey of Leffe and the brewery seemed to be only a distant memory when in 1952 the Father-Abbot Nys and Albert Lootvoet decided to reconnect with the brewing tradition of Leffe and its well-kept recipe to offer a whole range of Leffe beers as delicious as each other! Ab-Inbev has taken up the torch and is committed to continuing the tradition of Leffe beer, which has continued since 1240.

Domain and appellation

  • Leffe Blonde is an authentic blonde Abbey beer with a sweet bitterness that can be enjoyed at any time of the day.
