The open nose reveals powerful aromas of candied yellow fruit, accompanied by caramel, with a hint of cooked prunes and quince.

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Delord
In 1893, Prosper Delord founded the Delord house. Today, his great-grandsons, Jérôme and Sylvain, continue the family tradition under the watchful eye of their father, Jacques.
Our 45-hectare vineyard, dedicated exclusively to the production of Armagnac, is planted with the four traditional grape varieties: Ugni-blanc, Colombard, Baco, and Folle-blanche. It is located in the village of Lannepax, in Bas-Armagnac, in the southwest of France.
Our wines are distilled in stills fitted with “spider-leg” plates, in continuous heating, a typical method for producing Armagnac, ideal for creating aged Armagnacs. Our cellars house over 1000 casks and a dozen French oak vats.
The colour and complexity of our Armagnacs are achieved through long aging in wood. The oldest vintages are stored in demijohns protected from light, in a room called the Paradis.
