Powerful bouquet

With its garnet color, this wine offers an open nose with hints of black berries and pepper. On the palate, it presents a velvety attack, supple with finesse. Satin finish.



Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • Château Bel-Air

    Located at the heart of the Lussac Saint-Emilion, the Bel-Air castle extends on 30 hectares in one piece. 21 of them are vines. In 1978, Jean-Noël Roi take the property over. Its family owned it since more than a century. In 2004, the property grew with the purchase of 6 hectares of vines in the bordering town of Petit-Palais and Cornemps located in the Bordeaux designation.

    • Terroir: The vineyard is located on a large clay plateau. The sub-soil is composed of clay and iron filth.
    • Viticulture: Vines are 36 years old on average. Harvests are done at the total maturity of the grapes. The aromatic quality and the tannins evolutions depend on it.
    • Wine-making: The aging lasts 18 months, 50% on tanks, 30% on new barrels and 20% on barrels. 100% of bottling is made at the castle in the month of April of the next year in one homogeneous batch.
