Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and well-rounded
Its purple robe offers an open and fruity nose, on notes of violets, licorice, blueberry and black pepper. On the palate, this wine has a velvety and fleshy attack with silky tannins. A tangy, fleshy, gourmet finish that calls a good dish from the southwest!

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.
Do you know ?
Native from France where it is called “cot” and produced in the Cahors region and Loire Valley, the malbec is today known as “the” Argentinian grape variety.

Le Cheval D'Anglars
The Cheval d’Anglars has been famous in the 20th century following the creating of a military stud farm named “La Remonte”. Nowadays, it is only vestige of the past. The vineyard exists since 1980 and extends on 12 hectares.
- Terroir: Soils are ancient alluvial terraces of the Lot, clay-siliceous exposed south-west.
- Viticulture: All the vines are covered with grass between the rows. The rows are also covered with grass but they are weeded if needed.
- Wine-making: It follows a traditional method using stainless steel of 100 HL maximum. The extraction is slow and soft to preserve the fruity side and the roundness of wine, as well as the suppleness of the tannins.
