Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

Its bright straw-yellow color offers a nice young and typical nose, mineral vineyard of gun-stone, white flowers and notes of ferns. In the mouth this wine has a beautiful balance, full-bodied, lively and dry. Powerful finish on mineral notes.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

  • Domaine Jean Collet & Fils

Since 1792, from generation to generation, the Collet family is devoted to the vine. In 1979, Gilles joined his father and the farm became the domaine Jean Collet & Fils. The cellar and cellar located in the heart of Chablis are the image of this family proud of its know-how.

    • Terroir: The delimited area of the wines of Chablis 1er Crus is located on limestone soils of the era of the Jurassic superior Kimmeridgian, very rich in marine fossils.

    • Viticulture: On these plots, the vine growers pay particular attention to the work of the vine, reasoned agriculture, no use of polluting weed control products, mechanical cultivation of soil, such as plowing.

    • Vinification: Pressing by pneumatic press, static settling thermo regulated at 16 ° C, then spontaneous fermentation and breeding in "parts Burgundy" of 228 liters. The bottling takes place after 16 months of rearing.
