Fruity and well-rounded

The nose is frank and greedy, dominated by aromas of blackcurrant coulis, blackberry and redcurrant, with a delicate floral touch.

 

The attack is supple, providing roundness and envelopment, followed by a frank, greedy length.

 

The character develops on notes of black fruit coulis, with fine balance and a long, fruity finish, accompanied by a hint of herbs.

 

The finish is pleasant and greedy, leaving a lovely sensation on the palate.

Caractéristiques

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Le domaine et l'appellation

  • DOMAINE DES PRÉS LASSES

    To the north of Béziers, the Faugères vineyard stretches across the rugged terrain of the last foothills of the Cévennes, between one hundred and three hundred meters in altitude.

     

    This small appellation includes seven communes and covers an area of 1800 hectares of vines.

     

    It is a schistous terroir formed by the compression, during the formation of the Massif Central, of clays from the marine deposits of the primary era. The soils are highly draining, poor in nutrients, and acidic.

     

    This type of terroir provides an excellent environment for the vine, which sends its roots deep into the soil to find the essential elements for producing great wines.
