Fruity and well-rounded

 Clear, limpid and brilliant wine, light orange in colour with pale highlights.

A fine nose of fresh spices and white pepper, fresh and open, with a hint of techno candy.

Supple on the palate, well-balanced, frank and full-bodied. Fine character with sweet spices and a hint of menthol.

Caractéristiques

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Le saviez-vous ?

Bandol wines are particularly marked by the Mourvèdre grape, which flourishes in this warm climate and gives the wine a powerful, tannic character.

Le domaine et l'appellation

  • DOMAINE DE L'OLIVETTE

    Situated between land and sea, Domaine de l'Olivette produces rosé, red and white wines in the Bandol appellation. Terroir: Stretching out facing the Mediterranean, the vines rest on a soil of stones and rocks. Viticulture: The grapes are harvested by hand. Vinification: Cold skin maceration is carried out for certain grape varieties. The must is then clarified and fermented for 15 to 20 days.
