Our oenologists' opinion

Well-rounded

Dark garnet colour with brick tints. Open, greedy nose with notes of cherry and wild strawberry coulis and a hint of grenadine. Supple, fleshy, fruity attack of fresh red fruit, satiny tannins, medium body. Fairly firm finish, needs to develop a patina. Cherry and morello cherry character, hint of cocoa, medium persistence.

Features

This cuvée is the result of a blend of parcels classified as Premier Cru and vinified separately, bringing together the various facets of Beaune’s terroir into a single wine.

     

    The Beaune du Château Rouge is made from 17 Beaune Premier Cru parcels, carefully selected for their complementary qualities: Les Aigrots, Les Avaux, Le Bas des Teurons, Belissand, Les Bressandes, Les Cent Vignes, Les Champs Pimont, Clos du Roi, A l'Ecu, En Genêt, Les Grèves, Pertuisots, Les Reversés, Les Seurey, Les Teurons, Les Toussaints, and Les Tuvilains.
