Well-rounded

The straightforward nose opens with a bouquet of spices, leather and cocoa, adding a subtle character.

The attack is supple, with medium body and good balance.

The wine has a long finish, supported by supple tannins without heaviness.

Domain and appellation

BARTON & GUESTIER

Region: Santenay benefits from a dual purpose, both as a spa town and a wine region. This wine shows variations depending on the slope. The Santenay AOC was established in 1937. The vineyard stretches across an ideal exposure from east to south.

Soil: Greyish limestone occupies the upper slopes, reaching up to 500 meters in altitude.

Climate: Continental, with hot summers and cold winters.

Vinification: The vinification is traditional, with gentle pressing of the Pinot Noir grapes.

The alcoholic fermentation is carried out in stainless steel vats to bring freshness and character to the wine. This is followed by aging in oak barrels for 6 months, adding complexity.

The wine presents a beautiful ruby red color with intense hues, tile-like reflections, and a brilliant sheen.
