Domain and appellation

The village of Tautavel is ideally located in Roussillon, between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean, in a region rich in history, known as one of the cradles of Humanity. Indeed, the Homo Erectus Tautavelensis, dated to 450,000 years ago, was discovered on site in 1971, and its archaeological museum has become one of Europe’s most popular cultural attractions.

The vineyard covers 20 hectares of stony soils, on very limestone terraces and south-east facing slopes. The climate is moderated by the Tramontane, which aids in the ripening of the grapes.
