Powerful bouquet

Its light amber color has a pretty nose, crisp and fresh with notes of aniseed, licorice and vanilla. In the mouth it is balanced, full bodied, long and spicy with a fresh bitterness and good length.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Do you know ?

At the time, the legislation fixed a limit of alcohol at 40°. Paul Ricard pastis nevertheless knew his had to reach 45° to converse aroma and intensity of its aniseed flavor. So he labored actively for 5 years to obtain, in 1938, the official authorization of Pastis 45°.

    When he created the recipe in the 30s, Paul Ricard was only 23 years old and already had a very clear vision of what he wanted to offer: a light and refreshing Pastis, with intense flavor. "I urge my name, he proclaims, as I'm sure of the high quality of my pastis and I am proud of its unique taste. ". Ricard pastis enjoyed his tremendous success. Famous worldwide, the brand celebrated its billionth bottle in 1984.
