Powerful bouquet

Dark garnet colour with brick tints. Open, powerful, spicy nose, with notes of pepper, nutmeg, fur and clove, and a hint of tobacco. The attack is supple, satiny, quite full-bodied, with notes of roasted plums and nutmeg. Firmer finish, with present tannins, medium persistence on plum, hint of mocha. A lovely wine!

Caractéristiques

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Located between the Dordogne and the Garonne, the Entre-deux-Mers is one of the leading wine-producing areas of the Bordeaux region. Although this geographical area produces mainly dry white wines, there are also some red and rosé wines classified as Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieurs.

Le domaine et l'appellation

  • CHÂTEAU LATOUR CAMBLANES

    Etendu sur 40 hectares, Le Château Latour Camblanes offre une vue imprenable sur la vallée de la Garonne. Ce vin de Bordeaux de l’Entre-deux-Mers, acquis en 1980 par la famille Castel, porte l’appellation Côtes-de-Bordeaux.

    • Terroir: Idéalement situé sur des coteaux, le vignoble de 30 hectares repose sur des sols argilo-calcaires. Chaque hectare est constitué de 7 200 pieds de vigne.
    • Viticulture: Des conditions géologiques et météorologiques idéales permettent de récolter des fruits parfaitement mûrs. Un soin tout particulier est apporté aux vignes lors des vendanges, dont la méthode est adaptée au millésime.
    • Vinification: Sous les conseils du spécialiste Alain Reynaud, le vin est soumis à de longues fermentations alcoolique puis malolactique et à une macération post fermentaire avant un élevage en fûts de chêne pendant 12 mois.
