Powerful bouquet

Garnet colour with brick tints, clear and brilliant; open nose with notes of undergrowth, red fruit gratin and menthol, powerful; supple attack, long and fat tannins, tension, fullness, fine and full-bodied point; well-structured, full-bodied, frank finish on red fruit gratin and spices, good length, good persistence.

Caractéristiques

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Le domaine et l'appellation

  • Château Magnan-Figeac

    Implanté entre Château Figeac et Cheval Blanc, ce Grand Cru de Saint-Emilion bénéficie d’un terroir exceptionnel. Le château Magnan-Figeac appartient à la même famille que le Château Cormeil-Figeac dont il est voisin. Le château Magnan-Figeac est un vin plus souple, plus "prêt à boire" que le Cormeil-Figeac, notamment grâce à son élevage 50% barrique. Au Château Magnan-Figeac, l'agroécologie est pratiquée de façon intensive et passionnée. 5000 arbres seront plantés d'ici 2026 sur l'ensemble des 25 hectares qui est certifiée bio depuis le millésime 2021
