Our oenologists' opinion

Well-rounded

Bright orange colour, nice fine, regular and persistent bubbles. Frank nose of crushed strawberries, then toasted bread, gingerbread, toasted notes. Nice balance on a rather full-bodied and vinous champagne, frank, the character prolongs the nose with aromas of strawberries, pomegranates then sweet spices. Nice frank and elegant finish.

  • Keeping level Ready to drink
  • Service temperature 12°
  • Grapes Pinot Noir
    Chardonnay

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Do you know ?

Classified as a historical monument in 1931, "Les Crayères" date back to Gallo-Roman times. Offering ideal conditions for the fermentation and maturation of wine, Ruinart was the first of the great Champagne houses to use these cellars

Domain and appellation

  • RUINART
