Fruity and well-rounded

Dark garnet colour with bright red highlights. Open nose with notes of morello cherry and redcurrant, tangy. Supple, vinous, crisp attack, with notes of cherry, bay leaf sauce and a hint of sapid bitterness. Well-balanced finish, tension, freshness, hint of menthol, good persistence. A lovely wine!

Caractéristiques

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

    The Maison COQUARD is a family estate founded in 1881 and located in the south of the Beaujolais vineyards in the Pays des Pierres Dorées. Christophe COQUARD is the son of winegrowers and after having enriched his experience by making wine on 3 continents, he created his own 100% family structure in the House of his ancestors. Since 2005, he has been perpetuating the family traditions by offering high quality Beaujolais wines that subtly combine tradition and modernity. Today, the Maison COQUARD brings new ideas, is part of the renewal of the Beaujolais vineyard and enjoys a good image and reputation. The wines are regularly awarded, distinguished, recognised and appreciated by wine lovers. Guignol in his little theatre reminds us of the Lyon tradition, to be enjoyed in good company. Sculpture made of wood, metal, fabric and acrylic paint " Original work by the artists Zak & Landau.
