Powerful bouquet

Dark garnet colour with brick tints. The nose is open, complex and elegant, with notes of blackberry coulis, dark chocolate and cinnamon, and a hint of wood fire. Supple, velvety attack, satiny tannins. Well-balanced. Character with toasted wood and red fruit gratin, small envelope. Elegant, easy finish of roasted blackberry.

Features

CHÂTEAU CHASSE SPLEEN

The practice of destining a particular plot of vines for the grand vin or the second wine is to taste the grapes. The juice of a grape can indeed change from one year to the next while the soil remains the same. The terroir of Chasse-Spleen is a combination of two types of soil: gravel on a clay-limestone subsoil and clay on limestone. The rainfall and sunshine of the year will give a different nature to the berries that will have grown on this or that soil.
