Powerful bouquet

Dark garnet colour with bright red highlights. Open nose with notes of eucalyptus, roasted coffee, roasted plum and nutmeg, hint of liquorice. Supple attack, satiny tannins, small body, small character on spices and morello cherry juice, hint of caramel. Sapid finish, good balance, small length on roasted wood and liquorice.

Caractéristiques

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

    Un Château historique, dont les origines remontent au 17ème siècle, lorsque le Chevalier Rahoul construit cette jolie chartreuse. • Un blason qui rend hommage à son passé, par la reprise des armoiries. • Un Château Membre de l’Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux. • Une diversité de terroirs qui favorise une adaptation des cépages à la nature de chaque sol : - Le merlot trouve son terroir de prédilection sur les sols de graves sableuses et de graves argileuses. - Le sémillon s’épanouit sur les graves sableuses où il livre son plus beau potentiel. • Des vins rouges tout en finesse et élégance, où l’expression d’un merlot fruité est rehaussée par la complexité du cabernet-sauvignon. • Un Château de mieux en mieux noté par la Presse Internationale.
