Our oenologists' opinion

Powerful bouquet

Deep garnet colour with brick tints. Nice open nose of chocolate, black fruit gratin, liquorice, leather notes, hint of jammy yellow fruit. Good balance on a full-bodied wine, quite full-bodied and wrapped, with finesse. Nice character on candied fruits, cocoa, mocha, ripe tannins that melt, nice long, slightly warm finish.

Features

  • Villa Antinori was introduced in 1928 by Marquis Niccolò Antinori, father of Piero Antinori, as the first Chianti Classico created to age and improve with time.
