Fruity and well-rounded

Its spicy nose, marked by typical aromas of black pepper and cumin, is enriched by jammy notes of black fruit and a hint of woodiness reminiscent of roasting.

 

On the palate, the supple attack gives way to a well-structured wine with body and fine balance.

 

Its mouth-watering texture reveals flavours of black fruit gratin, accompanied by a long, full finish, the sign of a generous, accomplished wine.

Features

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • CHÂTEAU DES CRÈS RICARDS

    Ce domaine a été créé en 1960 sur le lieu-dit Les Crès Ricards, situé dans la commune de Ceyras. En 2010, Jean-Claude Mas acquiert les 27 hectares du château, qu’il étend à 42 hectares en 2013.

     

    Fasciné par le fantastique terroir des Terrasses du Larzac, il explore tout son potentiel pour produire des vins veloutés aux arômes intenses.

     

    Au pied du Mont Baudile, le vignoble bénéficie d’une géographie unique avec ses sols de terre rouge, de schistes et de galets roulés.

     

    Les rendements sont faibles, et une sélection stricte des baies garantit des vins généreux et de grande qualité. En 2012, Jean-Claude Mas a acquis des vignes supplémentaires autour du domaine, consolidant ainsi les 42 hectares actuels des Crès Ricards.
