Powerful bouquet

Greediness and freshness is to foresee during this tasting. The golden and shiny color of this Calvados releases fruity fragrances of red apples combining with the freshness of pears. A nice balance is to underline and associates with a nice frankness. The apple is at the center of the persistent and refreshing length.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Calvados is distilled from more than 200 apple varieties. It is not uncommon for a producer to use over a hundred varieties for producing Calvados.

    Maison familiale fondée en 1889 spécialisée dans la production de Calvados « Haut de gamme ». L’entreprise doit sa réputation à une technique d’élevage unique en Normandie. Les jeunes Calvados sont tout d’abord logés dans des petits fûts de chêne dans des chais (secs) subissant les variations climatiques avant d’être transvasés dans des caves souterraines troglodytes très humides ou ils vont finir de s’épanouir.
