Fruity and crisp

Light yellow colour with green highlights. Open, frank nose of minerality, notes of flint and oyster shell, followed by citrus fruit. Lively attack, tension, balance, medium body. Typical frank character. Saline finish with hints of exotic fruit. Long finish with iodine and sapid notes.

Features

    Although it has often been imitated, the one and only "blanc fumé" draws all its character from its origins in central France on the banks of the Loire. Better known as Pouilly Fumé, Blanc Fumé de Pouilly is the original name of this 100% Sauvignon Blanc PDO, one of the oldest in France, dating back to 1937. Blanc Fumé de Pouilly comes from clay-limestone soils and Kimmeridgian marl.
